> To whom is the PreMaster Program geared?
The PreMaster Program is intended for students who are due to graduate in the near future or have recently completed their bachelor’s studies with superior results and have concrete plans to commence further studies for a master’s degree.

> What is the application process for the PreMaster Program?
Send your full application particulars form directly to the relevant personnel department. We will then contact you and, where appropriate, invite you for personal interview with the relevant specialist department.

> How should I submit my application?
Your complete application (cover letter, curriculum vitae, certificates), please send by e-mail in a
PDF document (max. 4 MB) to us.

> How long in advance of my desired starting date should I apply?
Your application should ideally arrive at our offices four to six months ahead of your desired starting date

> Do I have to apply within certain deadlines?
There are no application deadlines in our PreMaster Program. You can enter the program at any time throughout the year.

> What is the duration of the PreMaster Program?
The PreMaster Program comprises two stages: the company phase of up to twelve months’ duration and the master’s phase. Your studies should commence no later than two months after the end of the company phase.

> Can I also enrol in the PreMaster Program if I intend starting my master’s degree less than twelve months after receiving my bachelor’s degree?
Yes. The duration of the company phase is arranged on an individual basis between you and your host department. It lasts for a maximum of twelve months, but can also be significantly shorter.

> May I also complete my company phase outside Germany?
During the company phase, you will generally be assigned to a host department at a location in Germany.

> Is it my responsibility to apply to universities for a place on a master’s degree course?
Yes, it is up to you to apply to a suitable university and enrol on one of their master’s degree courses. We will be happy to provide personal guidance and advice to help you in your decision.

> Can I also commence my master’s degree at a university outside Germany?
Yes, you can choose the university where you wish to commence your master’s degree course – you are also free to select one outside Germany.

> What type of contract do I have as a participant on the PreMaster Program?
You will receive a limited contract for the entire duration of the PreMaster Program, that is, until the completion of your master’s degree course.

> How much do I earn on the PreMaster Program?
During your company phase, you will receive an attractive compensation. During your master’s degree course, we can offer you a study loan so that you can concentrate fully on your studies. In addition, if you work for us as part of your master’s study program, you will be rewarded with the customary remuneration for that location.

> Will I continue to receive support after the company phase?
Yes, contact with your host department and mentor is also maintained during the master’s phase. Our mentoring services are rounded out by student positions both in Germany and abroad, intensive networking on the students program and an exclusive schedule of events.

> Can I also apply for the PreMaster Program if I hold a diploma degree?
No, the PreMaster Program is aimed exclusively at graduates with a bachelor’s degree.

> Can I use the PreMaster Program to start a career at Bosch Rexroth?
No, the sole functions of the program are to provide a further qualification as well as to prepare and support candidates studying for a master’s degree. Once you have successfully graduated, however, it is very likely that we will be able to offer you a position at Bosch. We would be delighted should you decide to continue working with us.

> Can I continue to work at Bosch Rexroth during the master’s phase of the program?
As part of the PreMaster Program, you can also work in other student positions at Bosch that may be of interest to you. These can include a student assistant or internship role, or writing your master’s thesis.

> Am I obliged to start a career with Bosch Rexroth after the PreMaster Program?
No, you are under no obligation to start a career with Bosch after completing the PreMaster Program.

> What are the terms of the study loan?
We can provide you with discretionary additional financial support for your master’s degree in the form of a study loan. The maximum duration of this assistance is two years. The repayment terms vary depending on whether or not you decide to take up a position in the company at the end of the program.
