My Way to Bosch Rexroth
As a student of applied computer science and production engineering at the Chemnitz University of Technology I could gain first impressions of the company at the Hanover Fair. Furthermore the e-fellows City Group organized talks of company representatives at the university. As I wanted to deepen the knowledge of my studies in an own project, I was always tinkering with the idea of a doctorate. Six months before I finished my studies I finally took part in a recruiting event in Milan and Modena.

My activities at Bosch Rexroth
The central manufacturing coordination and technology department developes global location strategies. As a graduate in computer science I take advantage of my knowledge to plan a production network in view of capacities and personnel requirements. It is my aim to support strategic decisions by simulation and optimization. I use this opportunity to delve into economic problems.

My personal experiences with Bosch Rexroth
A doctorate at Bosch Rexroth is an excellent chance to deepen a scientific topic and to support its implementation. Herewith the possibility arises to participate in daily operations. Knowledge and experiences of the different units represent a formidable benefit. For a member of the Robert Bosch doctoral program with more than 200 doctoral candidates, research groups are a source for very useful feedback. Furthermore doctoral colloquia, newcomer meetings and events with doctoral candidates from other companies enable the creation of a wide network on a professional and personal level.

My job-related future with Bosch Rexroth
My work integrates different units and views. The main emphasis is on strategic considerations. Thus I plan to start a management career after graduation. In the first step I want to take an operational position in preparation for a foreign assignment.
