Modular system of compact hydraulic units by Rexroth for little available space and small delivery rates |
 |

|
Economic solution: New compact units as of a delivery rate of 0.49 l/min and leakage-free poppet valves (right) are also suitable for remote concepts. Together with the UPE2 drive modules and the IH15A control modules (left), they perform simple tasks as well as complex motions and can be configured individually. |

Gradation from simple to complex tasks

With newly developed compact units in central flange design for low delivery rates of 0.5 l/min, Rexroth amends the range for low- and high-pressure applications in machine tools, test rigs as well as for general mechanical engineering. Thanks to very small structural dimensions, they simplify the integration and also allow for remote concepts. Together with also newly developed poppet vales, the modular system of compact units simplifies the realization of tailor-made solutions for simple circuits up to complex motion sequences.

With the new K family, the extendable modular system now covers the power range from 0.09 kW to 4 kW with delivery rates between 0.49 l/min and 14.8 l/min across different pump-motor combinations. With plastic, aluminum or steel tanks, the compact modules are suitable for both, horizontal and vertical installation. With the new units, the nominal pressure range reaches up to 230 bar. For higher pressure levels up to 700 bar, the tried and tested and newly revised UPE2 drive modules are used. For both versions, the user can choose between 10 µm pressure or return filters.

With control versions adjusted to each other, Rexroth offers the choice between newly developed module systems in connection with cartridge or plate valves for simpler sequences and the tried and tested IH15A control modules for high requirements. Depending on the task, the units control very simple circuits and also complex sequences using single-acting or double-acting cylinders. In machine tools, they moreover perform the two-pressure clamping. Apart from valves for one million load alternations, Rexroth offers the possibility to also use valves with a high fatigue resistance of ten million load alternations. The compact units work with a self-contained circuit. In this connection, the high efficiency of the drive units together with the newly developed leakage-free 4SEC directional poppet valves, the KRD pressure relief valves as well as the already known KSED directional poppet valves in cartridge design reduce the heating of the oil and thus reduce the necessary cooling performance.

All drive and control components as well as adapters have been adjusted by Rexroth so that they are compatible with each other. Apart from that, the fine performance and functionality gradations provide for the prerequisites for standardization across different machine sizes and types and offer the possibility of a decentralized supply. Users can freely combine the different drive units and control versions. All components of the extended compact unit family are produced in series and their quality can thus be reproduced.
