What Rexroth Stands for
Code of Business Conduct
From its beginnings as a “Workshop for Fine Mechanics and Electrical Engineering”, founded by Robert Bosch in 1886, our company has developed into a leading global supplier of technology and services. Throughout its entire development the company has always remained true to the values and ethics of its founder. These principles include that of legality, which commits us to abiding by the laws of the respective countries in which we operate.

In 1921 Robert Bosch himself wrote: “In the long term, an honest and fair approach to doing business will always be the most profitable, and the business world holds such an approach in much higher esteem than is generally believed.” These words still demonstrate the conviction that reliability, credibility and, in particular, legality are indispensible elements of our business success.

This clear commitment unites all employees of the Bosch Group worldwide beyond country and cultural boundaries. Legality is one of the primary values of our company and is for us, as managing directors, of major significance. We expect from our employees that every one of them strictly observes all legal requirements and at all times. Violations to current law are not tolerated in our company – and with no exceptions.

In order to underline the importance of this principle, we have formulated our position with respect to legal requirements and ethical questions in the “Code of Business Conduct”. We are making this “Code of Business Conduct” available to our employees as a guidance to their conduct. Its aim is to outline the basic standards to which we as Bosch wish to adhere. Should you at any time encounter doubt as to whether a decision complies with the “Code of Business Conduct”, you should ask your superior to seek advice from either the relevant expert in your country or your legal department.

We hold joint responsibility for the reputation of Bosch. The “Code of Business Conduct”, together with our Bosch values, offers an excellent foundation on which to build up trust, which is so vital for our business success.
